Are you ready for the Annual Fair & Rodeo Weekend?
Did you know that this year marks 50 years of rodeo in Selkirk? This highly anticipated & highlight of the event's calendar is a great reason to have a parade and Selkirk Biz has been doing just that for almost 50 years too! There are many ways you can contribute & celebrate this great weekend. Whether it's entering a float, sponsoring the parade, spectating along the parade route or visiting the fair & rodeo grounds in Selkirk Park during July 11-13.
For information about the Triple S Fair & Rodeo please visit their website here or call 204-485-4854.
If you have any stories, pictures or recollection of the early years of the parade or when it actually started, please email me. I was too young to remember when it started :) ~ Sheri

Congratulations Connie Rapko - Citizen of the Year!
Connie is recognized for her commitment to numerous community committees and initiatives. Her contributions have made this area a great place to live, work & play!
Back in 1985, Connie was instrumental in starting this very award that she has now received herself.
Selkirk Biz also announces that a new host organization will continue with the 30th edition. Congratulations to the Selkirk and District Community Foundation who will now lead this community award tentatively set for November 2015.
