2020 Committees
Black Friday- organizes community wide Black Friday weekend event. First held in November 2012.
Communications- (under Marketing) this team will be responsible for the Chamber News, enhancing how we communicate to and from our members and the public at large, provide leadership on all chamber committee communications as required and will be responsible for all official news releases.
Governance- to maintain and make recommendations to the constitution and the policy and procedures on a regular basis or as required.
Events - to coordinate our events whereby everything funnels through one person under whom the various committees are structured for: Golf Ball Drop, Annual Parade, Business Awards, Speaker Series.
Finance- prepare the annual budget, report regularly at meetings, manage the Chamber Dollar financial reporting and solicit the required audits.
Marketing- this team's role will be to develop a plan for the promotion of the Chamber and the development of our Website as a tool. In addition, development of a technology plan. Will now include social media, communications, training & development.
Membership- to develop and execute our annual membership drive in addition to recommending ideas to add value to our membership.
Partnerships- this team will identify, review and recommend key partnership that the Chamber should engage with going forward and for what value. These partnerships may be both public and private.
Planning- to maintain the strategic action plan.
Training & Development- (currently under Marketing) This team will take the lead in identifying membership's needs for training as well as any Chamber requirements for board or staff training. Also the job descriptions for Chamber staff would fall into this category.
History- to compile a history of the Chamber, including presidents & officers for Action Plan Document.
